# WireBootstrap for Azure Search

[Azure Cognitive Search](https://azure.microsoft.com/en-in/services/search/) is the only cloud search service with built-in AI capabilities that enrich all types of information to help you identify and explore relevant content at scale.

The [WireBootstrap Azure Search Connector](https://docs.wirebootstrap.com/azure/data-connector) allows an [Azure Search Index](https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/azure/search/search-what-is-an-index) to be used as a data source in WireBootstrap.  The [WireBootstrap Azure Search Filter](https://docs.wirebootstrap.com/azure/filter-component) provides a user interface to all the features of the WireBootstrap Azure Search Connector.

Search queries can be created and executed in WireBootstrap against the Azure Search service using [standard queries](https://docs.wirebootstrap.com/wirebootstrap/creating-queries/select-queries).  In addition, [query extensions](https://docs.wirebootstrap.com/azure/query-extensions) can be used to create [faceted search queries](https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/azure/search/search-faceted-navigation).
