# Sample Page

After [running the project](/query-service/sample-project/running-the-project.md), the sample page opens.  This page allows connection fields to be entered.  For details on these fields, see [Data Connections](/query-service/administration/data-connections.md).

After entering the connection data into the fields, press *Connect*.  This will pull a list of tables and views (entities) from the SQL database using [discover methods](/query-service/sample-project/page-controller.md#discover) on the data source.

Selecting one of the entities from the drop down will return a sample list of the records in the entity.
